Eagle River Inn Restaurant & Lounge in Eagle River

We went to Mexican night (Tuesdays) and had a great meal. Full of flavor, and nice portion sizes, but I'm saving room for fried ice cream next time.

Hands down, this was the finest meal I've had in the 5 years since I moved here. The chicken alfredo was made to order perfect. The steak was heaven on a plate. Our waitress, Melissa was awesome. We ate outdoors by the lake, there was a fire lit...it was wonderful! Ooooo...did I mention the schaum torte? So good...

Nice atmosphere, good food; broiled fish was a bit overcooked but rest of dinner was very good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. One big miss is the missing baby changing stations in both the men's and women's restrooms.

Wow.... its takes a special chef to serve this but Rene did! The pictures speak for themselves. There is bad food and nasty food, this was nasty. Rock hard burnt piece of charcoal. Any chef that would serve this is a joke. Rene is completely over rated. The entire meal was disgusting.

10 people in our birthday party all had something different and all were good.

Good up north restaurant. The food and service were good and a really nice Northwoods atmosphere.

We tried this place out of the Blue. It was totally awesome. Everything was one of the top 10 best I have ever had. Will be back.

To-go was perfect! Beef Wellington was seriously the best I have ever had! Perfectly done chef! Yes the picture is prettied up. :)

Stopped in for a Friday night fish fry. Restaurant was pretty empty.maybe 5 tables of customers. This was at 6:50 pm. We went to the hostess (Jen ) and we were asked if we had a reservation which we didn't. She said it would be 8 before she had an opening and she had groups of 6 and 9 coming in at 7 Again... had to be 8 or 9 tables open. 4 tables were set for 4 and a couple set for 6. This was our first time going there and will be the last. We got the impression because we didn't have a reservation, we weren't wanted.

So good. Great food and service. We always try to get there for delicious food.

Perhaps the best dinner I've had in many years of going to the Northwoods.

Excellent dinner. Tried a number of appetizers, entrees, specials, and drinks. Service, food, atmosphere are really great.

The Shrimp & Scallops Alfredo was one of the best meals I've ever had.

Excellent fish. I got the all you can eat fish split between fried and baked. Both were pretty good, but I preferred the fried perch. The wait staff was very friendly, and they make a good old fashioned. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Unbelievable food done perfectly! The best food I have had Anywhere in years. Rene has his act down. Cooked perfectly on all 4 different dishes we had at our table. It was my first visit but my wife and I plan on at least a couple of stops there every time we go up North. Spectacular!!

Steak was wonderfully flavored the seafood Alfredo was extremely disappointing. Seafood done nicely but sauce was like water

Had heard about Chef Rene for some time and never got over to his setup in Timber Ridge. I know now I had made a mistake in the delay. While the facility at the Eagle River Inn fails with it's TV tray sized tables, overdone Northwoods Decor, and general dated feel, it is more than made up for with Chef's stellar menu and outstanding cooking prowess. The food is fantastic. seafood crepe appetizer full of lobster and shrimp, or spinach artichoke dip- really nicely done, presented, and tasty. NOT out of a bag. Clam Chowder was very nice and as a personal favorite, I can say say one of the best I've had.Friday Fish Fry looked great, our guest commented on the flavor and the presentation was good. Wife and I had steaks, with mush and onions on the side. They came with a nice garnish of haystacks finely sliced and aujus. Perfectly cooked and just plain awesome.Too full for desert but we took options home. The waitstaff was lackluster, but they tried. All in a the food wins the day ...

Best Northern Fish Fry available. Was visiting from Wheeling IL. When I come through again the great service and quality food will "lure" me in.

Best food in eagle river hands down. And great staff in there as well. Give them a try and I guarantee you’ll keep coming back.

Great food, atmosphere and waitress. Went Sat night. Hubby and I had veal with mushroom sauce. Fabulous. Sister had walleye and just as good. Had spinach artichoke dip as appetizer and also pleased. Jen our waitress was very attentive and checking to make sure all was ok. We noticed all staff very attentive. Second time we were there . Missed the man that passed out hand puppets. Oh and drinks also very good. Will definitely be back again. Want to try fish fry.

Chef Rene's continues to provide consistent food quality, year after year - this is our 10th year dining with them. The Scallops Pernod, Ribeye and Fiddlehead ferns were all outstanding. Thanks Sonja for making our first visit of 2020 a delicious one. Enjoy, we always do.

We loved the food and the waiter was super nice he stayed six feet away but still interacted with us.
